Jay H. Gangwal

Managing Partner

Mr. Gangwal is a Managing Partner of IRA Capital. His primary responsibilities include directing IRA’s investment and financing strategies, while overseeing the firm’s institutional capital markets relationships. Throughout his career, Mr. Gangwal has purchased or financed over $3.0 billion of commercial real estate throughout the United States. Prior to IRA, Mr. Gangwal was a Director at Douglas Wilson Companies and a Principal with the Chesapeake Equity Fund at Legg Mason Real Estate Investors where he was responsible for joint venture equity placements and principal investments. Mr. Gangwal also has previous lending experience as a Vice President at CW Capital and GE Capital, where he originated over $1.0 billion in mezzanine and debt investments for commercial real estate projects. Mr. Gangwal received his undergraduate degree in Finance and MIS from the California State University, Northridge.
