Jay H. Gangwal

Managing Partner

Mr. Gangwal is a Managing Partner at IRA Capital, where he leads the firm’s investment and financing strategies and oversees the firm’s institutional capital markets relationships. With extensive experience in commercial real estate, he has purchased or financed over $5 billion in properties across the United States.

Prior to IRA Capital, Mr. Gangwal served as a Director at Douglas Wilson Companies and was a Principal at the Chesapeake Equity Fund at Legg Mason Real Estate Investors where he focused on joint venture equity placements and principal investments. He also brings significant lending experience from his time as a Vice President at both CW Capital and GE Capital, where he originated over $1 billion in mezzanine and debt investments for commercial real estate projects.

Mr. Gangwal holds a degree in Finance and Management Information Systems from California State University, Northridge.
